We need to get a photo or two of Admiral over at Pillow's playground, chasing balls we all take turns throwing on a Saturday morning. I love seeing him dash and leap around, he's so full of energy!
We are your neighbors in the North Shoal Creek neighborhood (Burnet/Anderson/Mopac/183). We started this blog as kind of a virtual watering hole where we can share things online and maybe develop friendships that penetrate into real life. Yes, that seems backwards but maybe it isn't anymore.
We want to share stories and photos, brag about our families and pets, and tell you about community events. We will be posting interviews with neighbors and engaging in online conversations. This is a place where you can send us your news: marriages, pregnancies and births, scouting achievements, art show prizes and soccer trophies. We welcome your comments, suggestions, and feedback.
Webster's defines a community as "people with common interests living in a particular area." Let's find our common interests and build a community.
Every Friday we'll post your photos (or drawings or whatever else you send us). It's totally freestyle: just send us what's on your mind. Some suggestions: pets, kids, gardens, neighborhood scenes, weddings, artistic shots, or happenings around Austin. Surprise us.
It's easy. Just email us: lifeinnsc AT mac DOT com.
About Us
Cheri has lived in North Shoal Creek with her husband, Jeff, since 2002. After the birth of their son, they decided to get involved in the neighborhood to make this area more of a community of friends and less of a subdivision. Cheri is also an artist, mentor and lover of the quirky and odd.
Juliette has been living in the North Shoal Creek area since 2001. When she's not blogging about the neighborhood, she likes to write about movies, hang out with her husband Chip, and tease Rufus the cat.
